SOLUTION : A slurry is applied while holding a sintered magnet body 1 in such a manner that any portion of an outer surface constituting a shape of the sintered magnet body 1 does not become orthogonal with a direction of a centrifugal force, when the sintered magnet body 1 is held by a jig 2 having an axis of rotation in a vertical direction, immersed in the slurry for applying the slurry, rotated together with the jig 2 and dried after removing the excessive slurry on each of sintered magnet body surfaces with the centrifugal force, thereby coating the sintered magnet body surface with the powder.
EFFECT : The powder of the rare earth compound can be uniformly applied to the sintered magnet body surface.
