PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a superconducting coil device in which the superconducting characteristics can be maintained by suppressing stress concentration at the end of a superconducting wire rod in a width direction to thereby avoid interlayer delamination, while suppressing overall deformation of the coil.SOLUTION : A tape-like superconducting wire rod 12 is constituted by forming a superconductive layer 15 of a rare-earth-based oxide superconductor on a substrate 13 with an intermediate layer 14 interposed therebetween, forming a stabilization layer 16 thereon, and then forming an insulation coating layer 17 on the outer periphery thereof. A single pancake coil 11 is formed by winding the superconducting wire rod 12, and a superconducting coil device 10 is formed by coating the outer periphery of the single pancake coil 11 with a protective coating layer 20. The protective coating layer 20 is constituted by laminating an inner low strength protective coating layer 18 of paraffin and an outer high strength protective coating layer 19 of epoxy resin. |
