PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hair cosmetic which includes a hair elasticity improver, and imparts excellent usability (firmness/stiffness feeling, smoothness, no sticky feeling) to hair.SOLUTION : A hair elasticity improver is composed of a taurine derivative represented by following general formula (1), and a hair cosmetic includes the hair elasticity improver. (In the formula (1), either one or both of Rand Rare groups represented by general formula : R3OCH2CH(OH)CH2-, and the remainder in the Rand Ris a hydrogen atom. M is at least one selected from a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkali earth metal, an ammonium, and organic amines.
