简介 Provided is a glass article which has a high transmittance and in which the glass is inhibited from suffering coloration or solarization. The glass article is constituted of a glass which comprises, in terms of oxide amount in percent by mass or mass ppm, 50-80% SiO2, 0-10% K2O, 1-145 mass ppm total iron oxide (t-Fe2O3) in terms of Fe2O3, 0-30 ppm divalent iron (Fe2+) in terms of Fe2O3, 1-1, 000 ppm total cerium oxide (t-CeO2) in terms of CeO2, and 1-35% at least one alkaline-earth metal oxide selected from the group consisting of MgO, CaO, SrO, and BaO, the glass having an iron redox, which is shown by expression (1), of 0-30% and satisfying expressions (2) and (3). · (Content of divalent iron (Fe2+) in terms of Fe2O3)/[total content of divalent iron (Fe2+) in terms of Fe2O3 and trivalent iron (Fe3+) (Fe2++Fe3+)] expression (1) · 1≤[t-CeO2]/[t-Fe2O3]≤45 expression (2) · (64×[MgO]+100×[CaO]+127×[SrO]+156×[BaO])≥1200 expression (3)
