PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To efficiently promote combustion of a PM deposited on a particulate filter.SOLUTION : There is provided a catalyst layer 22 provided on an exhaust gas passage wall 21 of a particulate filter comprises : a first catalyst material in which palladium (Pd) 27 is supported on a Zr-containing composite oxide 26 containing zirconium (Zr) and a rare earth element other than cerium (Ce); and a second catalyst material in which a rhodium (Rd) 25 is contained in a Ce/Zr-containing composite oxide 23 containing Ce and Zr, wherein at least a part of the catalyst layer is formed by laminating the first catalyst material and the second catalyst material. |
