To provide a cell, a cell stack device, a module, and a module housing device that can prevent a deterioration in power generation performance of the cell in long-time power generation.SOLUTION : A cell comprises, on a surface on one side of a solid electrolyte layer 9 containing Zr, an intermediate layer 4 containing CeO2 in which a rear earth element (excluding Ce) is dissolved and a first electrode layer 1 in this order, and comprises a second electrode layer 7 on a surface on the other side opposite to the surface on one side of the solid electrolyte layer 9. The intermediate layer 4 comprises a first layer 4a that is located to face the solid electrolyte layer 9, and a second layer 4b that is provided on the first layer 4a and located to face the first electrode layer 1. The first layer 4a has a higher molar concentration of the rear earth element dissolved in CeO2 than that of the second layer 4b.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 2 |
