A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a positive electrode (1) containing a positive electrode active material that contains a lithium transition metal oxide having a surface to which a compound of a rare-earth element is adhered, a negative electrode (2) containing a negative electrode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte to which a lithium salt having a P—O bond and a P—F bond in its molecule and/or a lithium salt having a B—O bond and a B—F bond in its molecule is added. |
