PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To suppress the lowering of the capacity of an oxygen permeable membrane even in a case that the oxygen permeable membrane is used in contact with a reducible fluid for the purpose of reforming reaction.SOLUTION : When reformed fuel is supplied to one surface of an oxygen permeable membrane and oxygen-containing gas is supplied to the other surface thereof, the oxygen permeable membrane allows oxygen ions not only to transmit from the other surface side of the oxygen permeable membrane to one surface side thereof but also to advance the partial oxidation reaction of the reformed fuel on one surface of the oxygen permeable membrane. The oxygen permeable membrane has a main layer containing a composite oxide and having at least oxygen ion conductivity and electron conductivity in an oxidation atmosphere and a second layer containing cerium oxide, in which rare earth element solid solution is dissolved, being an oxide having oxygen ion conductivity and laminated on the main layer in a gas impermeable state. Further, the second layer is arranged so as to become one side surface side of the oxygen permeable membrane and the main layer is arranged so as to become the other surface side of the oxygen permeable membrane. Furthermore, the second layer is formed so as to cover the whole surface of the oxygen permeable membrane exposed to the reformed fuel. |
