PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a superconducting bulk magnet which is hardly cracked even during the course of magnetization in a high magnetic field of 10 T order and can be used as a high power magnetic field generating source.
SOLUTION : A superconducting bulk magnet comprises : a superconducting bulk body in which RE2BaCuO5 (RE is one element or two or more elements selected from Y or a rare earth element) is finely dispersed into RE1Ba2Cu3Oy (y represents an oxygen amount and satisfies 6.8≤y≤7.1); and a reinforcing ring surrounding the superconducting bulk body.
