A sulfur-tolerant CO shift conversion catalyst is prepared from the following raw materials : a magnesium source, an aluminum source, a fluxing agent oxide, a crystal growth agent, a rare earth promoter, CoO, MoO3 and an acidic aqueous solution. Also provided is a preparation method of the catalyst, comprising : S1, adding the acidic aqueous solution and the rare earth promoter to the magnesium source, the aluminum source, the fluxing agent oxide and the crystal growth agent for kneading purposes; S2, extruding the mixture in S1; S3, drying the extruded product obtained in S2; S4, roasting the dried semi-finished product obtained in S3, to obtain a catalyst support; S5, isovolumetrically impregnating CoO and MoO3 on the catalyst support; and S6, roasting the product obtained in S5. The fluxing agent oxide and the crystal growth agent are capable of participating in a solid-phase reaction in which a magnesium aluminate spinel structure is formed of the magnesium source and the aluminum source, the mechanical strength and stability of magnesium aluminate spinel are improved, and nanoactive components result in an effective increase in dispersity of the active components and also improve the catalytic activity of granular boundaries of the active components. |
