PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a silylation method using a silyl amine compound which enables a group having active hydrogen to be efficiently silylated without generating an undesirable side product and is therefore useful as a method for silylation of a compound having an active hydrogen group.SOLUTION : There is provided the silylation method for silylating a group having active hydrogen by using a silyl amine compound represented by the general formula (1), where i) Ris a substituted or unsubstituted tertiary hydrocarbon group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and Rand Rare substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or ii) all of R, Rand Rare substituted or unsubstituted secondary hydrocarbon groups having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and in either case, Rand Rare any of a hydrogen atom, a methyl group and an ethyl group. |
