PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-output permanent magnet type generator in which a magnet is configured to implement a performance of a magnet powder as further as possible for output improvement, storage energy of a fly wheel is effectively utilized and an actual use environment is substantially at 80°C or lower.
SOLUTION : The permanent magnet type generator comprises : an external rotation type rotor with which annular epoxy resin bond magnets of which the peculiar coercive force with a range of 20°C±15°C(5 to 35°C) as an ordinary temperature is 500 kA/m or higher and which contains a rare-earth-iron-based magnet powder are disposed on an inner peripheral surface of the fly wheel; a stator including an iron core yoke in a central part and a plurality of salient pole split cores extending radially outwards from the iron core yoke; and a stator coil which is wound around the salient pole split cores. The rare-earth/iron-based magnet powder is R-Fe-B based, R including Y, rare earth element of Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy or Ho.
