PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a rare earth magnet in which no lubricant flows down in hot plastic working, working strain which is as uniform as possible can be imparted over the entire region of a sintered body, and the rare earth magnet having a small magnetic characteristic distribution can be manufactured.SOLUTION : A method of manufacturing a rare earth magnet comprises : a first step of manufacturing a sintered body S by sintering magnetic powder as a rare earth magnet material; and a second step of manufacturing the rare earth magnet C by putting the sintered body S in a cavity K of a molding tool M consisting of a die D, and a lower punch P and/or an upper punch P sliding in the die D, and carrying out hot plastic working for imparting magnetic anisotropy to the sintered body S. In the second step, a lubricant sheet 10 having a glass-based lubricant 12 interposed between a pair of graphite sheets 11 is arranged between side faces, facing the cavity, of the lower punch P and upper punch P, and the sintered body S respectively, and hot plastic working is carried out with the sintered body S sandwiched between the upper and lower lubricant sheets 10.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 3COPYRIGHT : (C)2016, JPO&INPIT |
