SUBSTANCE : method of producing emission-active alloy cathode for microwave vacuum-tube devices involves preparation of starting alloy components of specified ratio based on at least two components at same time, wherein one of them is refractory metal, other is alkali-earth metal compound of initial components alloy cathode in inert gas medium by means of high-temperature melting and crystallised to billet alloy cathode, at that, at least double repetition of said process operation, processing of alloy cathode to specified size and shape. Initial components of alloy cathode are prepared in the of binary alloy consisting of each of said alloy components of cathode, alkali-earth metal component is taken in form of intermetallic compound refractory and alkali-earth metals at their stoichiometric ratio 5 : 1, repetition of said operations connection of initial components of alloy cathode is performed twice, first time at excess pressure inert gas medium (1.1-1.2)×105 Pa, second time at low pressure of inert gas medium of not more than 5.0×104 Pa and when position of workpiece alloy cathode at 180 degrees relative to its initial process while processing alloy cathode is performed by means of its rolling, at that in two steps. at first at temperature of 1250-1350°C with rolling step of 0.2-0.3 mm, while changing after each step rolling direction of workpiece alloy cathode at 90 degrees with subsequent annealing in vacuum at temperature of not less than 1000°C during 1-1.5 h at pressure of residual gases of not more than 1.33×102 Pa, at second is at room temperature, with pitch of rolling of not more than 0.1 mm to degree of deformation of stock alloy cathode 60-70%, then with pitch of rolling of not more than 0.05 mm.
EFFECT : high density and stability of emission current, high secondary electron emission coefficient, low cost, increased service life of cathode.
