简介 Provided is a hard sintered body having excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and excellent hardness at high temperatures. The hard sintered body contains 8.8–34.4 mol% of a binder phase, with the remainder comprising a hard phase and unavoidable impurities. The binder phase contains an iron aluminide, of which the main component is FeAl, and alumina that is dispersed in the iron aluminide and has particle diameter of 1 µm or less. The hard phase comprises at least one compound selected from among : carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, and borides of metals of groups 4, 5, and 6 of the period table, and solid solutions of said carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, and borides. The hard sintered body is obtained by mixing and pulverizing a binder particulate powder and a hard particulate powder and then sintering the mixture, wherein the binder particulate powder contains an iron aluminide powder comprising at least one compound selected from among FeAl2, Fe2Al5, and FeAl3, and the hard particulate powder comprises at least one compound selected from among carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, and borides of metals of groups 4, 5, and 6 of the period table.
