PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : rare earth magnet powder having a Curie point lower than that of a conventional rare earth magnet while having a high coercive force; and a bond magnet arranged by use of such magnet powder, which is superior in heat resistance.
SOLUTION : Rare earth-iron based magnet powder consists of R-Fe-B-M (M represents an additive element) based rare earth-iron based magnet powder. The composition ratio of the rare earth element R is 13-15 at%; the rare earth element R includes Nd, Pr, and Ce. In the rare earth element R, Ce accounts for 35-65% of the total amount of R. The magnet powder is produced according to a liquid quenching technique. A rare earth-iron based bond magnet can be obtained from the magnet powder.
