PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel method for regenerating an oxide of a rare earth element including boron.
SOLUTION : An oxide of a rare earth element including boron is stored in a treatment vessel at least inner surface of which is made of iron together with metal calcium and is subjected to heat treatment, providing an alloy of a rare earth element and iron (excluding the embodiment of storing iron material 10 mm or less in size in the treatment vessel). According to the invention, an oxide of a rare earth element including boron can be regenerated as an alloy of a rare earth element free from boron and iron.
