The present invention relates to a dental zirconia block and a method for manufacturing the same. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of : (a) preparing various zirconia-based materials consisting of zirconia powder, rare-earth powder, and toning powder; (b) pouring, into a compression molding mold, a mixture in which the zirconia-based materials are mixed in a certain ratio in order to exhibit target strength, target translucency, and a target color gradient, and molding the mixture into a multilayer structure at a given pressure; (c) manufacturing a zirconia block by calcining the resulting molded product; (d) forming the block manufactured in the above step into a predetermined shape of teeth; and (e) achieving the strength, translucency, and color gradient by sintering the block in the shape of teeth at a given temperature. |
