PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a binuclear complex having broad excitation spectrum in a wavelength of 250 nm to 450 nm by selecting kind of rare earth ion and sharp emission spectrum near wavelength of 610 nm, near wavelength of 540 nm and near wavelength of 640 nm and used as a red phosphor or a green phosphor, light-emitting device, a color conversion substrate and medical apparatus.
SOLUTION : There is provided a binuclear complex having a basic skeleton which a first complex structure and a second complex structure make a pair, where the first complex structure and the second complex structure is made by chemical binding of a rare earth element cation to a carboxylate anion, one oxygen of the first complex structure binds the rare earth element cation in the first complex structure and another oxygen of the first complex structure binds the rare earth element cation in the first complex structure and the rare earth element cation in the second complex structure.
