简介 This invention provides a positive-electrode active material for a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery. Said positive-electrode active material makes it possible to minimize the drop in capacity retention ratio following a high-temperature cycle. In said positive-electrode active material, rear-earth-compound secondary particles comprising agglomerations of particles of a rare-earth compound adhere to the insides of concavities formed between adjacent primary particles at the surfaces of secondary particles each comprising an agglomeration of primary particles that comprise a lithium-containing transition-metal oxide. Each rare-earth-compound secondary particle adheres to both of the adjacent primary particles constituting the concavity that contains that rare-earth-compound secondary particle. The aforementioned lithium-containing transition-metal oxide contains tungsten in solid solution.
