The present invention relates to a slat for a window blind and a manufacturing method thereof, and comprises : an opaque part (21); a pair of transparent parts (22) which is connected to both ends of the opaque part and is located to be opposed to each other around the opaque part; and a pair of joint parts (23) connected to each of one side of the pair of transparent parts. The opaque part (21) is formed by stacking an opaque fabric member on a transparent fabric member, which makes up the transparent part (22), or by performing a film laminating or textile printing process on a transparent fabric member, which makes up the transparent part (22). A slat according to the present invention is manufactured by forming an opaque part by separately preparing a transparent fabric member and an opaque fabric member which are pre-processed after weaving, and joining the two members; or by forming an opaque part, by performing film laminating process or textile printing process on a predetermined portion of the transparent fabric member which is pre-processed after weaving, on the corresponding portion. Therefore, the present invention reduces inaccuracy in a cutting process when compared with a slat manufactured by using fabrics comprising integrated transparent part and opaque part when weaving, lowers the prime cost, and minimizes wrinkles of fabrics, thereby providing uniform and excellent quality.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016 |
