PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method, a system, and a device for optical communication.
SOLUTION : An optical amplifier 300 comprises : a feed forward first amplification stage 303 including rare-earth doped fiber that receives an optical signal and introduction pump light; and a plurality of subsequent amplification stages each including corresponding rare-earth doped fiber. Each of the subsequent amplification stages receives a separately introduced part of remaining pump light from the first amplification stage 303, and the remaining pump light branches off to parts destined to the respective subsequent amplification stages.
