PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a glow discharge optical emission spectrometry that calibrates a calibration curve without using a calibration sample.
SOLUTION : A glow discharge optical emission spectrometry according to the invention includes : a first step of using rare gas G1 as discharge gas to measure multiple standard samples 5, and generating and storing an original calibration curve; a second step of using mixed gas G2 of the rare gas G1 and elemental gas to be analyzed as discharge gas to measure emission intensity generated from an element to be analyzed in the mixed gas, quantitating the element to be analyzed from the original calibration curve, and storing the quantitative value as a deemed standard sample quantitative value; a third step of, for calibrating the original calibration curve after the second step, measuring the emission intensity generated from the element to be analyzed in the mixed gas G2, calibrating the original calibration curve on the basis of the emission intensity and the deemed standard sample quantitative value of the element to be analyzed in the mixed gas, which is stored in the second step, and generating a calibrated calibration curve; and a fourth step of measuring an unknown sample 5 and quantitating the element to be analyzed from the calibrated calibration curve.
