PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide photocatalytic glass which exhibits sufficient photocatalytic activity under visible light without using a rare metal.
SOLUTION : There is provided photocatalytic glass which is obtained by subjecting a glass composition containing an iron compound component, a silicon compound component and an aluminum compound component to heat treatment, wherein the glass composition contains an alkali metal compound component and an alkaline earth metal compound component, the silicon compound component is SiO2, the aluminum compound component is Al2O3 and the composition ratio is (30-y)SiO2 : yAl2O3 (wherein, y is 5 to 25, by weight ratio).
