PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a composite magnet material module for a rotor capable of reducing cogging torque or ripple torque and attaining reduction of cost, a rotor and a manufacturing method.
SOLUTION : The composite magnetic material module for a rotor includes : a first magnetic material 10 formed from a plate-shaped rare-earth magnet; a second magnetic material 12 disposed at an outer diameter side closer to a stator 18 than the first magnetic material 10; and a third magnetic material 14 disposed at an inner diameter side farther away from the stator 18 than the first magnetic material 10. The second magnetic material 12 is wider than the first magnetic material 10 in a circumferential direction, and the third magnetic material 14 is wider than the first magnetic material 10 in the circumferential direction at least in a portion abutted with the first magnetic material 10. A cavity is present between the second magnetic material 12 and the third magnetic material 14, and a curvature radius on a surface of the second magnetic material 12 confronting the stator 18 is set larger than a curvature radius in an inner peripheral part of the stator 18.
