简介 [Problem] To provide, as a metal material forming a medical instrument such as a stent, a bioabsorbable zinc alloy pipe material which is easily absorbed by the body after implantation in a body but is not too rapidly absorbed, and which has prescribed mechanical characteristics such as high strength, and has excellent workability in cold-working and the like processes; in addition, to provide a stent using this zinc ally pipe material. [Solution] Provided is a zinc alloy pipe material having a chemical composition that contains at least one element selected from a group comprising 0.1-5 mass% Al, 0.1-5 mass% Mn, 0.1-5 mass% Mg, and 0.1-5 mass% rare earths, with less than 0.05 mass% Fe, less than 0.1 mass% O, and the remainder being zinc and 0.1 mass% or less of unavoidable impurities. Also provided are a method for manufacturing this pipe material, a vasodilation stent using this pipe material, and a method for manufacturing this vasodilation stent.
