Part of a sintered magnet body is dipped in an electroplating path of powder dispersed in a solvent with R1-Fe-B composition (R1 is a rare-earth element). The powder includes oxide, fluoride, oxyfluoride, hydride, or rare-earth alloy. An electroplating process is performed to attach the powder onto the surface of the magnet body. A thermal process is performed on the magnet body and the powder attached on it at a lower temperature than a sintering temperature under vacuum or inert gas.
