This light diffusion member contains rare earth compound particles and a matrix resin, and is configured such that : if T (μm) is the thickness of this light diffusion member and C (mass%) is the amount of the rare earth compound particles added into the matrix resin, the product of the thickness T and the addition amount C is from 200 to 3, 000 (inclusive); if the thickness T is 2 μm or more but less than 50 μm, the addition amount C is from 10 mass% to 600 mass% (inclusive); and if the thickness T is from 50 μm to 3, 000 μm (inclusive), the addition amount C is from 0.1 mass% to 60 mass% (inclusive). The present invention also provides a light diffusion structure which is obtained by arranging this light diffusion member on a base material. In addition, the present invention also provides a light emitting structure which is provided with this light diffusion member and a light emitting device. |
