PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To achieve both the atomization of strontium ferrite used as magnetic powder for magnetic recording and the improvement in thermal stability.
SOLUTION : The magnetic powder for magnetic recording is magnetoplumbite type hexagonal strontium ferrite magnetic powder which has an average particles size in the range of 10-25 nm, and contains Ca 0.05-3 atom% relative to Fe 100 atom% but does not contain a rare earth element and a transition metal element other than Fe.
