PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of recovering valuable metal from valuable metal containing alloy that can reduce an amount of chemical, an amount of waste, and the number of steps.
SOLUTION : This invention provides a method of recovering valuable metal from valuable metal containing alloy, including a rare earth immersion step (S11) in which rare earth containing alloy 11 is immersed in fused-salt 13 having metal halide 12 added thereto so that rare earth metal 14 included in the rare earth containing alloy 11 is exuded as rare earth salt, and a fused-salt electrolysis step (S12) in which the rare earth salt exuded in the fused-salt 13 is electrolyzed for recovery of the rare earth metal 14.
