PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a copper alloy for electronic/electrical equipment that is excellent in strength and shear processability, to provide a copper alloy plastic processing material for electronic/electrical equipment, to provide a component and a terminal for electronic/electrical equipment.
SOLUTION : A copper alloy for electronic/electrical equipment contains Mg in the range of not less than 1.3 mass% to not more than 2.8 mass%, and further contains one kind or two or more kinds of Ca, Sr, Y, Te and a rare earth element in the range of not less than 0.001 mass% to not more than 0.020 mass% in total, and the balance substantially Cu with inevitable impurities.
