PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of burnt soil and burnt soil which have excellent air permeability, water holding ability, and fertility holding ability, do not have troubles in plant growth, and are suitable for agricultural-use soil or gardening-use soil.
SOLUTION : Burnt soil is manufactured by using clay containing SiO2 as a raw material, mixing fine powder soil into the raw material clay to create soil of a crumb structure (crumb soil), granulating/drying the crumb soil by a rotary kiln to vitrify a part of the SiO2 and to create soil having two or more grain diameters (granular soil), controlling grains of the granular soil to remove powder attached to the granular soil, cooling the granular soil to harden the soil, and sieving the soil with refined grains (refined soil) to sort the soil by each size.
