PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor having a structure arranged to suppress the elution into an organic acid while ensuring an electric property and the reliability thereof.
SOLUTION : A multilayer ceramic capacitor 1 comprises a ceramic main body 10. The ceramic main body includes : an interior layer part 12 formed by ceramic layers 16 for interior layers, and internal electrodes 18 and 19 provided at interfaces between the ceramic layers 16 for interior layers; and exterior layer parts 14 provided over and under the interior layer part 12 to sandwich the interior layer part 12, and formed by ceramic layers 20a and 20b making exterior layers. The ceramic layers 16 for interior layers, and the exterior layer parts 14 have, as a primary component, a perovskite compound expressed by ABO3 (where A includes at least one of Ba, Sr and Ca; B includes at least one of Ti, Zr and Hf; and O represents oxygen). In the case of making a comparison between the concentration (CR) of a rare earth element included in the ceramic layers 16 for interior layers, and the concentration (Cr) of a rare earth element of an outermost layer part including at least the outermost surface of each exterior layer parts 14, the following relation holds : CR>Cr (including Cr=0).
