Provided is a winter tire which exhibits both improved grip performance on ice and improved abrasion resistance and which has good mechanical strength. A winter tire which has a tread made using a rubber composition, characterized in that : the rubber composition comprises an oil-extended butadiene rubber which has a cis content of 95mol% or more, a vinyl content of 1mol% or less and a weight-average molecular weight of 530, 000 or more, an isoprene-based diene rubber, silica and carbon black; the oil-extended butadiene rubber is a butadiene rubber synthesized using a rare-earth-based catalyst; the content of the butadiene rubber contained in the oil-extended butadiene rubber and the content of the isoprene-based diene rubber are respectively 8 to 80 mass% and 13 to 80 mass% relative to 100 mass% of the total rubber solids; and the content of the silica and the content of the carbon black are respectively 15 to 125 parts by mass and 3 to 70 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the total rubber solids, with the total content of the silica and the carbon black being 45 to 130 parts by mass relative thereto. |
