PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a base material for a superconductor having a bed layer such that just one layer thereof serves the function of preventing the diffusion of a constituent element of the base material and the function of arranging the crystal orientation of a layer put thereon; a method for manufacturing the base material for a superconductor which allows the formation of the bed layer for a short time, and the increase in the production efficiency; and a superconductor with the base material for a superconductor of the invention.SOLUTION : The base material 10 for a superconductor of the invention comprises : a base 11; and a bed layer 12 provided on the base 11. The bed layer 12 includes AlOand a rare earth oxide, and has an inclined-composition part. In the inclined-composition part, the content percentage of the rare earth oxide varies so as to gradually increase from the side of the interface with the base (i.e. the side of the bottom face 12a) toward the front face side (i.e. the side of the top face 12b) in a thickness direction thereof. |
