PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a flame spray body, which provides a flame spray single body with less raw material loss and a good yield, and the flame spray body suitably used for a model material which is required of reaction resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, plasma resistance, and chemical resistance.
SOLUTION : A flame spray film is formed on an outer or inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical shaped carbon base material by spraying ceramic particles of rare earth oxide and/or rare earth fluoride or one or more types of metal particles selected from W, Mo, and Ta. Then, a process of burning the carbon base material to remove the carbon base material to provide a body consisting of a frame spray single body containing the cylindrical ceramic or the metal with a wall thickness of 0.5 mm or more and 5 mm or less.
