PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compressor with resistance to demagnetization even when the amount of Dy (dysprosium) contained in a rare-earth magnet used in a motor is reduced.
SOLUTION : A compressor includes : a compression element for compressing refrigerant; a 6-pole motor for driving the compression element and having a rotor using neodymium rare-earth magnet containing iron, neodymium, boron, and dysprosium of not more than 4 wt%; a drive circuit for driving the motor and uses a GaN element in a converter.
