The invention relates to a method for producing a protective coating (8) on a component (6) having a metallic main body (7), according to which the protective coating (8) is formed by multiple layers, at least comprising a first layer (9) and a second layer (10), wherein the first layer (9) has oxides with at least one element from the group of rare earths and is arranged closer to the metallic main body (7) than the second layer (10), and wherein the first layer (9) is formed in a depositing chamber, wherein particles are produced from a metallic source in the depositing chamber by cathode sputtering and, to form the first layer (9), are reacted with a constituent of the atmosphere in the depositing chamber to form oxides that build up or form the first layer (9). |
