The present invention relates to a layered perovskite material produced by an electrochemical intercalation technique and to a method for producing the same. The layered perovskite material of the present invention is produced through an electrochemical intercalation technique and has one of the following formulas : (1) AB_xLnTiO_4 (a first material), (2) A_2B_(2x)Ln_2Ti_3O_10 (a second material), and (3) AB_(2x)Ln_2Ti_2TaO_10 (a third material).
