PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a general purpose new thermoelectric conversion material having high durability capable of improving a Seebeck coefficient which is one of thermoelectric conversion performance evaluation indexes by combining only expensive and safe elements.SOLUTION : Disclosed is a compound holding a crystal structure containing Fe and O as a main component. The main component does not contain rare metal, rare earth metal, precious metal, Na and K, and an absolute value of a Seebeck coefficient is 180 μV/K or more at temperature 100°C to 600°C. In the crystal structure, it is preferable that an oxygen atom holds a six-coordination octahedral structure unit in an iron atom. The compound may be one of compounds out of CaFeO, ZnFeO, SiFeOand FeO(OH). |
