简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method capable of manufacturing a rare earth-iron-based alloy material which has uniaxial crystal magnetic anisotropy and in which α-Fe is less likely to be formed. SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing a rare earth-iron-based alloy material comprises the steps of : preparing a molten metal 1 containing a rare earth element and iron (molten metal preparing step); and manufacturing a thin-band alloy material 10 by pouring the molten metal 1 on a surface of a cooled rotary roll 130 and rapidly solidifying the molten metal 1 (rapid solidifying step). The rapid solidifying step applies a pulse magnetic field to the molten metal 1. The intensity of the pulse magnetic field is not less than 3T and not more than 20T. The application time of the pulse magnetic field is not less than 0.1 μs/pulse and not more than 100 μs/pulse. The number of times the pulse magnetic field is applied is not less than 20 times/second and not more than 500 times/second. COPYRIGHT : (C)2015, JPO&INPIT
