PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a Sm-Fe-based alloy hardly oxidizing Sm, a Sm-Fe-N-based alloy and a rare earth magnet having the Sm-Fe-N-based alloy.
SOLUTION : A Sm-Fe-based alloy satisfies both of 0.9×β≤α≤1.8×β and 0<α≤0.04, where α is the content of Al (mass%) and β is the content of oxygen (mass%), and the content of Sm is, by mass%, 25% to 26.5%. The Sm-Fe-based alloy can make difficult to oxidaze Sm and suppress the reduction of magnetic properties of a magnet.
