PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a production method of a magnet which can ensure a high residual magnetic flux density without using dysprosium (Dy) and without using a bond, while ensuring a high flexural strength, and to provide a magnet.
SOLUTION : Hard magnetic first powder 10, that is an R-Fe-N-based compound containing a rare earth element as R or a Fe-N-based compound, and soft magnetic second powder 20 having a modulus of elasticity lower than that of the first powder 10 are blended (blending step). Subsequently, the first and second powders 10, 20 thus blended are pressed to form a primary molding 100 (pressing step). The primary molding 100 is heated in oxidizing atmosphere, and the first and second powders 10, 20 are bonded by an oxide film 50 formed thereon, thus forming a secondary molding 200 (calcination step).
