The invention relates to a hydroelectric power plant with restart that can be summarised as the continuous, autonomous centrifuging/pumping of volumes of water falling from a tank, said water having arrived from a sump and having previously been pumped by means of energy outside the system. (Figure n°7). The hydroelectric power plant with restart provides energy as desired, in that production parameters can be set. Production can be raised and lowered as necessary, in addition to being scalable. In terms of expandability, the setting of the operating height is not limited by the level of the sea, or by that of any overflow or any strength of a body of water, but merely by the dynamic head and the flow rate of the pumps to be used, as well as the electric power of the motors. The hydroelectric power plant with restart provides energy where it is wanted, in that the location where the hydroelectricity is produced is moved closer to the places where it is consumed. Moreover, the hydroelectric power plant with restart provides energy when it is wanted. Apart from routine lubrication, the turbine bearings can be replaced once every 3 to 5 years. Therefore, the power factor of the plant is very close to 1, without any fear of low water levels or water flow rates depending on the season. Above all, the hydroelectric power plant with restart provides energy when it is needed since it does not require the use a rare raw material as before, i.e. suitable large bodies of flowing water, but instead the use of a much less rare raw material, i.e. water. Finally, the hydroelectric power plant with restart strengthens the ability of the clean, renewable energy sector to meet global energy requirements. |
