This method for measuring fluorine ion concentration in sample water containing at least fluorine ions is characterized : by comprising a step in which a fluorine ion concentration detecting material is immersed in the sample water to prepare a test solution, and a step in which the test solution is irradiated with ultraviolet rays and the intensity of the generated fluorescence is measured to determine the fluorine ion concentration; and in that the fluorine ion concentration detecting material is a fiber that is chemically modified with a rare-earth metal complex that emits fluorescence. |
