The invention relates to the field of synthesis of radiotracers, e.g. positron emitter labelled PET or SPECT tracers. More in particular, this invention provides processes and devices for producing radiotracers. It is an object of the present invention to provide processes and devices able to continuously deliver radionuclide in a manner facilitating high throughput microfluidic reactor radiochemical synthesis. A substantial improvement of the existing technology was found in re-dissolving dried radioisotope or radioisotope complex in an organic solvent followed by recollection of the solution into a syringe and continuously dispensing into the microfluidic system, actuated by that same syringe for continuous or batch-wise synthesis of radiotracers. |
