The present invention provides a fairing placed in a riser for drilling crude oil in the seabed. The provided variable fairing comprises a thin film member which is installed on the outer circumferential surface of a riser and is made of a material capable of allowing the penetration of moisture; and a water swelling member which is placed inside the thin film member. Therefore, the fairing can be simply installed compared with the existing construction method and can be installed at any time without any influence of a tensioner while the water swelling member and the thin film structure are folded, thereby improving the construction speed. |
