The invention relates to a plant (16) and a process for separating metals, in particular rare earth metals. The plant comprises at least one extraction unit (2) by means of which the metals can be at least partly transferred from a solvent into an extractant. The metals can be at least partly transferred from the extractant into a stripping solution by means of at least one stripping unit (17). Here, the at least one stripping unit (17) comprises at least one electrochemical separation device (18) which has at least one membrane (19) which is permeable to ions of the metals. The at least one membrane (19) is impermeable to the extractant. |
