PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a forming method of calcium magnesium aluminosilicate (CMAS) permeation-resistant coating, and CMAS permeation-resistant coating.
SOLUTION : The method includes : a step of preparing thermal barrier coating having dopant; and a step of exposing the thermal barrier coating to calcium magnesium aluminosilicate and gas turbine operating condition. A calcium magnesium aluminosilicate permeation resistant layer is formed by the exposure. The coating contains a thermal barrier coating composition which contains dopant selected from rare-earth element, solute of non-rare-earth element and a group consisting of their combination. Furthermore, the coating includes the thermal barrier coating, an impermeable barrier layer or a water washable sacrificial layer positioned on an external surface of the thermal barrier coating.
