PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode material which enables the further improvement of the high rate characteristic, especially further decrease in DC resistance (DCR), a method for manufacturing such an electrode material, an electrode, and a lithium ion battery.
SOLUTION : An electrode material of the invention comprises an aggregate including carbonaceous material-coated electrode active material particles. The carbonaceous material-coated electrode active material particles each include a LixAyDzPO4(where A is at least one element selected from a group consisting of Co, Mn, Ni, Fe, Cu, and Cr, and D is at least one element selected from a group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zn, B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge, Sc, Y, and rare earth elements, and x, y, and z satisfy the following conditions : 0
